Rose Day

Rose Day

In honor of March 8, International Women's Day.

Zonta's International Rose Day Project draws attention to efforts aimed at eliminating violence against women and improving the lives of women through specific projects in Liberia and Madagascar. In general, Zonta promotes the wellbeing of women and children through its individual clubs throughout the world.

Locally, Zonta Club of Cortland strives to improve the status of women and children through its contributions to local agencies such as the YWCA Cortland's Aid to Victims of Violence and Mentoring programs and its services at Grace Brown House, as well as the Cortland Free Library's Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

In conjunction with International Women's Day, Zonta Club of Cortland will celebrate Rose Day on Friday, March 8th. Women who are nominated will be presented with a yellow rose for acts of kindness that have improved the status and/or wellbeing of women and children in our community.

You are invited to honor a woman whose actions embody the spirit of Rose Day by completing the form below and returning it to Deb Wines (in a folder at the YWCA) or emailing your form to dwines54@gmail.com. Please provide ALL information requested!

Your Rose Day Nomination form must be received by Friday March 1, 2025.
